Semi-active control of a nonlinear quarter-car model of hyperloop capsule vehicle with Skyhook and Mixed Skyhook-Acceleration Driven Damper controller

A suspension system is one of the integral parts a hyperloop capsule train, which used to isolate car-body from bogie vibration provide safer and comfortable service. semi-active best candidates for its advantageous features. The performance relies greatly on control strategy applied. In this article, Skyhook (SH) mixed Skyhook-Acceleration Driven Damper (SH-ADD) controlling algorithms are adopted nonlinear quarter-car model with magnetorheological damper. vertical dynamic response proposed evaluated under MATLAB Simulink environment hardware-in-loop-system (HILS) environment. SH controlled found be better at first resonance frequency worse second than passive MR damper, but SH-ADD performs all domains. Taking root-mean-square (RMS) value sprung mass displacement as an evaluation criterion, reduced by 58.49% controller 54.49% compared damper suspension.
